Incremental Marathon – The Continuation

And Monday’s run was in the snow. That one hurt. Different muscles came into play because of the snow on the ground.

A New Day

It’s a bright, blue sky outside this morning. I almost decided to go running outside, but the wind is still bitingly cold. So, it’s off to the fitness center again today.

In other news, the owner of the house I am working on purchasing had decided he can’t both sell the home at the price we agreed upon and fix the roof. And the roof is in dire need of repair. So, do I back out of the deal, or continue negotiating? For the most part, the location is a strong selling point. The backyard is wonderful. And I’d still be paying less for the monthly mortgage payment than I do for rent.

Sugar Crash

The Cinnamon roll is knocking me out. But it was an excellent finish to the BLT and onion rings I had for dinner.

Actually, the workout probably is playing a part. I managed 45 minutes, 30 on the treadmill and 15 on the elliptical.

The Incremental Marathon, Continued

Like I stated on my Facebook page, today’s run was by far my best. I may not have set any pace or speed records, but I stayed in the Cardio range with my heart rate. I didn’t hit peak once. Considering that when I first started running a 15 minute per mile pace would hit a heart rate of close to 170, I’ve done great work in getting into shape.

Exercise Dump

This is a post with all the various runs and walks I’ve taken that I had not yet posted.

All the walks on this post are with Nordic Walking Sticks except for these two above. This was the day Tina and I walked to the Trophy Cafe for breakfast.

Great Customer Service

I am not a paid spokesperson so you can breathe a sigh of relief that this is not a commercial. Tina and I both have FitBit products. Both have had problems. Yet, when I contacted customer service via Live Chat, my issues were resolved immediately and without undue hassle. In fact, I can say they had no requirements what-so-ever. In the case of my FitBit HR, the band broke and they replaced it with no questions asked. With Tina’s Zip, it seemed there was something wrong that it never read the power level of the battery correctly, causing issues with it syncing, etc. In this case they were able to access Tina’s FitBit account and see the same issue. Again, they simply are willing to replace the product with no need to ship the defective product to them, or to have any type of receipt, etc.

This is customer service. I’d recommend buying their products every time. In fact, when I am ready I will be upgrading to a more expensive watch. At this point, though, I’m happy with what I have.

I just wish they’d improve their apps ability to post to the internet.

No one is perfect.
