Color Me Surprised

Would you believe I set a new personal record for the mile? I know! I’m surprised myself. 9.19! And that was the third and final mile of the run this morning.

Good Morning!

Just dropping a quick post shouting out to the few readers of this humble blog before I go for a run. Hope you all have a beautiful day.

What Degree of Incline?

With the world being round, what appears to be a flat surface when I am running really means I am running downhill. Right?

Combined Stats

Since my Apple Watch decided to act up today, I ended up with two separate posts. Combined I ran 3.57 miles in 39.58 minutes. Not bad.

Hopefully the only reason my watch acted up was because of the new update. Or it could have been my jacket brushing against the watch as I ran.

Do I or Don’t I?

Run. I’m contemplating a run. It’s 6 degrees at the moment. I have the gear to run in this temperature but it’s getting up the motivation to find it. Actually, it’s just the running coat I need to find. I have the other stuff already out.

Resumption of Running

I hit the pavement today. It was nice. No wind, slightly obscured sun without it being grey and overcast. The roads were dry, but the sidewalks had some snow and ice. Thankfully I have new shoes that are designed for muddy trail running. Though not perfect, they did keep me from slipping so that I didn’t strain my back or legs.

With the move done I am looking forward to regular runs. I didn’t gain too much weight, but I have goals I want to achieve; both weight and conditioning.

And I Ran

I ran so far away……….

And I still ended up with frozen toes! Yet it was a good run, though short. I am going to have to do some research on how to keep my toes from freezing when running. Otherwise, I had a good run. Exhilarating, in fact. I will do it again. And soon.

To Run or Not to Run?

It is currently 16 degrees below zero. Now, I bought winter running gear – shoes and under garments. Oh, and this way cool jacket having specialized sleeves with ends that can be converted to mittens. Way warmer than wearing regular mittens or gloves. It also has an attached face mask that works well. But 16 below? I don’t know. I’m going to think on it for a bit more.

Of course, I remember having to do farm chores in way worse weather. But than, I was younger and dumber back then. Actually, the only thing that’s different is I’m not younger. So, yeah. That.

Incremental Marathon – Man Flu Leg

I believe I am delusional from the Man Flu because I ended up running after feeling exhausted from spoiling Tina.

To Run or Not To Run?

Blah, blah, blah.
More than likely, I’ll run.

On a related note – my Fitbit is dying. Not the electronics, but the band. The plastic is once again separating from the watch section. And I have a model where you cannot replace the band. I already exchanged one Fitbit due to this very issue. However, this particular watch in well past the one year warranty. That’s fine, because I’ve been thinking of using my tax return to get an Apple Watch now that it’s heart rate monitor can sync with the Runtastic app.
